Diet Chart for Covid 19 Patient in India .
We know Covid 19 has taken the shape of the epidemic across the country. The body of patient is getting weak after being infected with the disease. So, proper Nutrition is the only way to recover from these disease.After being infected the body became weaker day by day. So we need to take proper nutrition to get well soon.
I am a clinical nutritionist, Saheli Mondaldas..I suggesting you some food and diet tips based on the latest research to speedy recovery from covid.
COVID patients is to consume foods that helps them to rebuild muscles, immunity and energy levels.
My area of discussion is limited to all those mild and moderate corona patient's who are recovering at home in isolation.Critical patients should follow their doctor's advice strictly.
if any patient suffering from any lifestyle disease earlier like diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, kidney problem etc. their diet is different from diet mentioned below.
Most of the patients are losing the taste and smell of their food.so they need to follow the guidelines given below.
࿉ eat soft light foods at small intervals.
☺they need to have the right amount of protein , fat and carbohydrates in their diet.
☺During this time the water in the patient's body dries up,so a patient has to drink water repeatedly. A patient should drink 4 to 5 liters of water repeatedly throughout the day.
EARLY MORNING
☺after wake up in the morning patients should drink a glass of warm water.

BREAKFAST
In breakfast they can eat
☺2 roti / chapati with 1 bowl seasonal mixed vegetable or
☺ Veg Poha or
☺Veg Upma or
☺Idly or
☺ Dalia Khichdi
if patient is a non -vegetarian he can take an whole egg with breakfast daily but if patient has suffering any heart disease or high cholesterol problem then should not take whole egg , he can take 2 egg whites in a day.
Take 1 cup of ginger tea after half an hour. They can take ginger tea 2 times in a day.

MID MORNING
In mid morning they should take 1 or 2 seasonal fruits which contains vitamin C.
Example of Fruits with the highest sources of vitamin C include:
- Citrus fruits and juices, such as orange and grape.
- Kiwi fruit.
- Mango
- Papaya.
- Pineapple.
- Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and cranberries.
- Watermelon.
Drink a coconut waterPOST LUNCH
A whole amloki should be eaten 10 minutes after drinking coconut water
Pre-evening 1 cup of
turmeric milk can be eaten
or cucumber with dried chirwa or puffed rice can be eaten.
or 1 fish jhol or 1 bowl of soybean with vegetable with 2 chapatis or rice.
